Public holidays and breaks in the 2017-2018 curriculum


The 2017-2018 class will run through June 15, 2018, for a total of 180 school days. There will also be study breaks and long weekends. We've put together a list of breaks and public holidays.

Public holidays and breaks in the 2017-2018 curriculum

School holidays in the 2017-2018 curriculum are as follows:
  • autumn break: 2017 October 30 - November 3, 2017
  • Winter Break: December 27, 2017 - January 2, 2018 (Evening Break in the Currency Will Be Longer, as Last Teaching Day: December 22, First Teaching Day: January 3, 2018)
  • spring break: March 29, 2018 - April 3, 2018
  • Long weekends can also be counted, which means that the holiday falls on Fridays or Mondays, or on Thursdays or Wednesdays, like 3 or up to 4 days. Here are the long weekends:
  • October 23 National Day: October 21-23. (saturday, sunday, monday)
  • Christmas: December 23-26. (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)
  • New Year: December 30th - January 1st (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
  • March 15th National holiday: March 15-18. (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays)
  • Big Friday and Easter: March 30 - April 2 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
  • Labor Holiday: April 28th - May 1st (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)
  • Friday: May 19-21. (saturday, sunday, monday)
  • Of course, there will be a flip side to this, when it is longer than a week or two Saturday working days:
  • March 10 (then the rest day on March 16 will be worked out)
  • April 21 (We work April 30 here, which precedes the May Day Labor Day and falls on a Monday, and we exchange this)
